We have used Tom and his technicians for the past 8 years since moving to the area in 2015. We started with multiple quotes from several A/C companies and then learned how prompt, thorough, & competitively priced they are. The quality & cost Advanced Air offers is real. You won’t be disappointed.

I called on a saturday morning in july when my air stopped blowing cold the night before, after speaking with Tom over the phone with particulars of my problem, he said would be able to come by sometime this morning. About an hour later he was here looking for the problem. He could of said my unit was dead, or a line was cracked or any tech jargon that would sound bad. But instead he honestly and quickly found the fan breaker had gone bad. He replaced it in minutes, checked out my freon which was low by 2 lbs and replaced that, put a new cap on the freon to help keep it in and charged a very, very resonable rate for the replacement. Based on this one experience I would highly recommend Tom and Advanced Air to anyone with a simular problem.

Our A/C quit cooling late in the day on a hot, humid Friday afternoon. My phone call for help was answered by Danielle, who was very understanding, professional and quite helpful. She set up an early appointment for Saturday morning. However, a few minutes later she called back and said she had someone who had just finished another job nearby and they could come out now if I was going to be at home.

Shortly after that Tom Wilson, the company owner, showed up with a friendly greeting and went right to work diagnosing the problem. He offered a few possible scenarios as to what could have caused the problem as he checked for leaks and recharged the refrigerant in the system, so that we had cooling for the night. We agreed that he would return to inspect the evaporative coils in the attic unit thoroughly in the cooler morning hours. He would not accept payment for his services that evening and said he would hold the ticket open until he was entirely certain what was required to finish the repair. I had complete confidence in his ability and his expertise although I was preparing for a major expense or even a recommendation for a new unit.

He returned as promised and to my relief found only a minor issue that he repaired immediately. The cost was extremely reasonable and I now know who I will trust for all of our future A/C needs, whether large or small. It is great to meet a local business owner who is genuinely a nice guy… honest and caring and he places the needs of his customer at the top of his list. My sincere thanks and my highest recommendation to the good people at Advanced Air.

This week was the coldest of winter, with temperatures as low as 9 F. We had extended periods in the twenties. Despite the snow and ice, everything was fine. Then two nights ago, the heat pump stopped working. The thermostat was blank. I prompted Gemini to help me troubleshoot. After following all the simple steps, including the YouTube explanations, I gave up. I tried resetting the heat pump circuit breaker at the electrical panel, but it didn’t work. I called Bob at Advanced Air, but the roads were still icy and dangerous. He said he could come the next day in the afternoon. Bob first discovered that no power was coming into the HVAC unit indoors. When he checked the electrical panel, he discovered that the original installer had fed the primary circuit and the emergency heating circuit into the same circuit breaker. With the extended freezing weather, the emergency heating kicked in, overloading the circuit breaker. Bob separated and capped off the emergency heating circuit, then lowered the thermostat to seventy to prevent activation. The cold spell was ending anyway. The ice on the roads was melting. The overloaded circuit was no longer working. Bob replaced it with another unit, enough to handle the load from the primary circuit. That was enough to get the heat pump working. However, we still need to address the capped-off circuit for future cold spells. Bob suggested that we have an electrician reorganize the circuit breakers in the panel because the current layout doesn’t have space for the extra circuit breaker. Today, we scheduled Cool Hand Electric to do that tomorrow morning. I highly recommend Advanced Air. Especially with technicians like Bob.

This is a great company. They addressed our issues from the February ice storm and made several calls to make sure our issues were fixed. After repairs were made it came to our attention something had been damaged and the cost to replace it was $40. When I called and told them about it they quickly wrote me a check for $40. Thanks Tom and Bob.

My air conditioning went out with 100 degree temperatures. I called and spoke to Danielle, who was very professional. She set my appointment for the next day. The technician called when he was on the way. Made sure everything was in working order before leaving. I am very happy!
